Three gatherings of sermons by the Rev. Samuel Phillips, minister from 1651-96 of the First Congregational Church at Rowley, Mass. The first contains 24 sermons dated from 1659-61. [Inscription mistakenly attributes them to Rev. Samuel Phillips (1690-1771) of Andover.] The second consists of 64 disbound numbered pages containing 11 sermons taken from Exodus, 1668-69, and the third contains 9 sermons also from Exodus, 1677-78. Subjects include the prohibitions against adultery and theft.
